By enrolling in a class, workshop or event, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing Sturt Street Gallery & Classes. The following Terms & Conditions help ensure an enjoyable, safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
Enrolments and Payments
Full payment or the required deposit is due at the time of enrolment to secure your place.
Fees for all classes, courses and workshops are listed on our website and promotional material.
Payment may be made by:

Online enrolment
-
Direct bank deposit
-
Cash
-
Cheque (by prior arrangement)
A tax invoice or receipt will be provided upon request.
Cancellations and Refunds
Please choose your class carefully.
Class fees, workshops and courses are non-refundable.
If you are unable to continue your enrolment due to personal circumstances, refunds cannot be provided.
You may transfer the remaining value of your enrolment to another person. This transfer must be used within 12 months of the original payment date.
Missed Classes
If you are unable to attend a class, please notify us by phone or text as soon as possible.
Students are entitled to attend a make-up class (subject to availability) during the course in which they are enrolled.
Missed classes cannot be refunded.
Class Changes
Occasionally classes may need to be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances or insufficient enrolments.
If this occurs, Sturt Street Gallery & Classes will contact affected students as soon as possible and arrange:

a replacement class
-
an alternative class time
-
or another suitable solution.
If Sturt Street Gallery & Classes cancels a class, it will always be rescheduled.
Gift Certificates
Purchased Gift Certificates are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase (or until the expiry date shown on the certificate).
Gift Certificates are subject to these Terms & Conditions and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Art Materials
Unless otherwise stated, all materials are supplied.
Any materials supplied as part of a course become the property of the student unless otherwise specified.
Photography and Marketing
Photographs and videos may occasionally be taken during classes for use in:

Facebook

Instagram
-
Website
-
Printed brochures
-
Newsletters
-
Advertising
-
Other promotional material relating to Sturt Street Gallery & Classes
These images are used solely to promote Sturt Street Gallery & Classes and are never sold.
If you do not wish to appear in photographs or have your artwork photographed, please let us know.
Student Conduct
To ensure everyone enjoys their class, students are expected to:
-
treat fellow students, tutors and visitors with courtesy and respect
-
respect the studio, equipment and artwork
-
clean their work area and return equipment after each class
-
follow all tutor instructions regarding materials and equipment
-
avoid behaviour that disrupts the learning environment.
Discrimination, bullying, harassment, abusive behaviour or violence will not be tolerated.
Students asked to leave because of inappropriate behaviour will forfeit all remaining course fees.
Studio Etiquette
Students are asked to:

arrive approximately five minutes before class
-
begin packing up during the final five minutes of class
-
place mobile phones on silent
-
wear suitable clothing for painting (aprons are available if required).
Artwork Collection
Students are responsible for collecting their completed artwork.
Artwork left at the studio after the completion of a term may be disposed of unless prior arrangements have been made.
While every care is taken, Sturt Street Gallery & Classes cannot accept responsibility for artwork left at the studio.
Health and Safety
Sturt Street Gallery & Classes is committed to providing a safe, clean and welcoming learning environment for all students.
Students are expected to:

use equipment safely
-
follow tutor instructions
-
report hazards, damaged equipment or accidents immediately
-
consider the safety and wellbeing of others within the studio
-
clean their work area and shared equipment after use.
If you are experiencing a contagious illness (such as a cold, influenza, COVID-19, gastroenteritis or similar), please do not attend class until you are well enough to return. A make-up class can be arranged where possible.
Good hygiene practices, including regular hand washing, are appreciated and help create a healthy studio environment for everyone.
Personal Property
Students are responsible for their own personal belongings and art materials.
Sturt Street Gallery & Classes accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property.
Privacy
Your personal information is collected solely for the administration of your enrolment and communication with you.
Your information will never be sold or provided to third parties except where required by law.
We do not retain your credit card details.
From time to time we may send information about upcoming classes, exhibitions or special events.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails or text messages at any time.
Course Recognition
Sturt Street Gallery & Classes is not a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), and courses are not nationally accredited.
A Certificate or Record of Attendance can be provided upon request for completed courses.
Pricing
All prices are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD).
Prices include GST where applicable and may change without notice.
These Terms & Conditions are subject to change from time to time.
